Alex Duckworth | stylist

Alex is an Atlanta native who has been in the hair industry since 2016. While she enjoys cutting, coloring and styling of all kinds, she specializes in shaping curly and kinky hair, highly-texturized cutting using dry-cutting and razor-cutting techniques, fades, and creating low-maintenance custom color and blonding. Many of her color clients only see her once or twice a year. Out of salon, she regularly styles for weddings and events, and has a special affinity for brides and models who desire natural hair updos.

Alex first received a BFA from the University of Georgia, and then attended Paul Mitchell the School Atlanta for Cosmetology. Most recently, she received her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification from Peachtree Yoga Center and loves that she is able to bridge the two together here at Hemlock through her continuing knowledge of holistic wellness. When she’s not at the salon or teaching yoga, you can find her outside soaking up sun and running around with her little ones, cooking plant-based meals and helping discover new recipes for her partner’s food truck, or creating art and crafting her own natural hair and skin care products.
